「まちを楽しくするストリートファニチャーデザインコンペ」にて優秀賞を受賞し実作された作品。
横浜のみなとみらいの高層ビル群。これを下から見上げるという体験を共有できればと思いました。高層ビルに囲まれた小さな公園に、いくつかの円がずれながら重なるように配置します。
円形状の柔らかなカーテンの布地は高層ビルの輪郭を切り取り、陽射しを受けて陰をつくります。こちら側とあちら側をゆるやかに区切り、人と人との間に新しい距離感を与えます。
高さの異なる円形の台は、座ってコーヒーを飲んだり、寝そべって見上げたり、ハイカウンターのように使えたり。使い手がお気に入りの場所を見つけることができます。
風や太陽、天候によって一瞬ごとに異なる表情を見せ、この場所の自然環境を映し出すカーテン。都市で自然を感じられる、柔らかなパブリックスペースの提案です。

This work won the excellent award in the "Street Furniture Design Competition" and was actually built.
The site was in the small park surrounded by the skyscrapers of Minato Mirai in Yokohama. To share the experience of looking up the skyscrapers from below, several circles are placed in such a way that they overlap each other while being displaced.
The soft ccircular curtain cuts the outlines of the skyscrapers and creates shadows in the sunlight. The gentle separation between this side and that side creates a new sense of distance between people.
The circular platforms of different heights can be used for sitting and drinking coffee, lying down and looking up, or as a high counter. users can find their favorite spot.
The curtains reflect the nature of the place, showing a different expression every moment depending on the wind, the sun, and the weather. This is a proposal for a soft public space where you can feel nature in the city.
