定員70名程度の保育園です。事業者が区有地を借り受け運営する計画で、プロポーザルにて選定されました。
都内にしては珍しく広大な敷地であることから、木造の平屋の計画とし、屋根をできるだけ低く抑えることで、園庭や周辺への圧迫感を低減しました。
保育室内は棟木に段差をつけることでハイサイドライトを設け、明るさと開放感を取り込みました。木の質感を感じられるよう、保育室やバルコニー、アプローチの梁や軒天に木をあらわしで用いています。
道路沿いの３本の既存の大きなサクラは残し、シンボルとなるよう、道路から見た際サクラを中心に徐々に風景が展開する植栽計画としています。園庭まわりは四季を通して花が見られます。
また、園舎は隣接する児童遊園に平行に配置し、つながりを意識しました。周辺住宅地のスケールになじむよう、北側壁面は雁行状とし、隣接する住宅から十分に離隔しています。
都市部でもゆとりと自然を感じられる保育園を目指しました。

This is a nursery school with a capacity of about 70 children.
Since the site is unusually large for a metropolitan area, we decided on a one-story wooden structure and kept the roof as low as possible to reduce the sense of oppression to the school yard and surrounding area.
Inside the nursery, high sidelights were installed by stepping up the ridge to bring in brightness and a sense of openness. The beams and eaves in the nursery, balcony, and approach are exposed to give the impression of wood texture.
The three existing large cherries along the road were retained as symbolic trees, and when viewed from the road, the landscape gradually evolves around the cherries. Flowers can be seen around the school yard throughout the four seasons.
This architecture is placed parallel to the adjacent children's park to create a connection with it. In order to blend in with the scale of the surrounding residential area, the north wall is geese-shaped and sufficiently separated from the adjacent houses.
We aimed to create a nursery school that offers a sense of spaciousness and nature even in an urban area.
